ST. CATHARINES, ON - The Brock University women's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to the Queen's Gaels Saturday afternoon at the Bob Davis Gymnasium.
Brock took the first set 25-18, before Queen's rallied to win three straight (25-21, 25-10 and 25-7).
Laura Condotta (Etobicoke, ON) led the Badgers with six kills.
Hannah Davenhill (New Zealand),
Abby Jenkins (Cambridge, ON) and
Maddie Brown (Scarborough, ON) all contributed with five kills each. Davenhill also collected 20 assists while libero
Karlinna O'Leary (Whitby, ON) added 12 digs in the loss.
Leading Queen's offense was Shannon Neville and Shannon Hopkins who combined for 25 of the Gaels 39 kills. Neville led all scorers with 14 kills and 10 digs for the double-double.
The Badgers hit just .017 for the match recording 29 kills and 27 errors on 11 attempts. The Gaels had a .215 hitting percentage adding 39 kills with 16 errors on 107 attempts.
Brock returns to action Sunday, February 7th at 2pm when they host the RMC Paladins.
