Box Score LONDON, ON - The Brock University women's hockey team knocked off the No. 6 ranked Western Mustangs by the score of 2-1 Sunday on the road.

After a scoreless first period, the Badgers got on the board first with 3:46 remaining in the second period as Kimberly Brown (Toronto, ON) and Brittney Cabral (Hamilton, ON) setup Jazz Kennedy (Oakville, ON) for her first career regular season goal.

Just 30 seconds into the third period, Brock would make it 2-0 on a shorthanded marker by Brittany Gillmor (St. George Brant, ON) for her fourth goal of the season. Captain Laura Neu (Ayr, ON) added the assist.

Midway through the third period, Western would make it 2-1 as Stacey Scott and Katelyn Gosling setup Brittany Clapham for her seventh goal of the campaign.

In goal, Brock rookie Jensen Murphy (Kingston, ON) recorded 23 saves for her fifth win of the season. Western's Kelly Campbell collected 25 saves in the loss.

The Badgers remaing just five points out of a playoff spot with three games remaining. Brock returns to action February 14 when they take on the York LIons on the road.
