Box Score TORONTO, ON - The Brock University men'a hockey team dropped a 6-2 decision to the No. 8 ranked Ryerson Rams Thursday night at the Mattamy Athletic Centre.
Ryerson jumped out an early 3-0 lead, after outshooting the Badgers 20-6 in the opening 20 minutes. Scoring in the first period for Ryerson were Devon Paliani with two power play markers and Aaron Armstrong adding a single.
The Rams would go up 4-0 7:39 into the second period, before Brock got on the board 50 seconds later as
Sammy Banga (Windsor, ON) and
Matt MacLeod (Niagara Falls, ON) setup
Josh Timpano (Orillia, ON) for his fifth of the campaign.
Ryerson's Michael Fine would net their final two goals registering his 11th and 12th goals of the season.
Rounding out the scoring was Brock's MacLeod who slid home his 7th of the season on the power play.
In goal,
Clint Windsor (Burlington, ON) allowed thre goals on nine shots before being replaced by
Alex Brooks-Potts who collected 30 saves in the loss.
