Brock Men’s Hockey Falls 4-1 to Ridgebacks

Box Score The Brock Men's Hockey team (11-10-1 OUA) fell to the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) Ridgebacks by a score of 4-1 on Friday night at the Seymour Hannah Centre.
 
The Ridgebacks opened the scoring 10 minutes into the opening period on a goal from Ryan Doucette, assisted by Mike Robinson and Danny Elser.
 
The score remained 1-0 until late in the 2nd period, when Malik Johnson scored his 9th of the season with assists going to Alex Yuill and Connor Jarvis.
 
Brock finally broke through early in the third period when Brody Silk scored his 9th of the season, with Chris Maniccia and Andrew Radjenovic notching the assists. For Radjenovic, the reigning Brock Male Athlete of the Week, it was his team-leading 13th assist and 21st point. 
 
The Ridgebacks added their 3rd tally with 6 minutes remaining in the game on a Jack Patterson goal, set up by Loren Ulett and Nate Mitton. Cameron Yuill would add an unassisted tally with under a minute remaining to close scoring for the game.
 
Alex Brooks-Potts takes the loss in net for the Badgers, stopping 31 out of 34 shots directed at him by the Ridgebacks. Brendan O'Neill picks up his 8th win of the season, stopping 34 of 35 shots faced in the victory.
 
The Badgers are back in action on Saturday January 21st when they take on the Queen's Gaels at the Seymour Hannah Centre. Game time is 7:15pm.
