ST. CATHARINES, ON- The No.8 ranked Brock University men's basketball team defeated the Queen's Gaels by the score of 77-63 in front of a capacity crowd at the Bob Davis Gymnasium Friday night on Bell Let's Talk night.

After falling behind 11-2 early the game, Brock was able to come back and take a 16-14 lead after the first quarter and never looked back for the rest of the game. Brock had a comfortable 41-30 lead at halftime and would ultimately go on to win 77-63.

Leading the way for the Badgers were Tyler Brown (Hamilton, ON) with 17 points, four rebounds and five assists and Cassidy Ryan (Mississauaga, ON) who registered 17 points and six rebounds. Veteran Dani Elgadi (Waterloo, ON) had a strong all around game contributing 13 points, 13 rebounds and six assists for the double-double.

Russell Winters led the Gaels with 16 points and two rebounds and Jesse Graham with 10 points and six rebounds.

The Badgers shot 43.3% from the floor (29-67) including 31.6% from 3-point range (6-19) and 56.5% from the free throw line (13-23). Queen's shot 45.1% (23-51) from the floor while going 33.3% from long range (6-18) and 64.7% from the free throw line.

The Badgers play against the York Lions at home Saturday at 8pm.
