ST. CATHARINES, ON – The Brock University women's hockey team suffered a 2-1 defeat to the Windsor Lancers Sunday afternoon at the Seymour Hannah Sports Centre.

The Lancers opened the scoring just two minutes into the contest with a goal from Sydney Dobbin.

After a scoreless second period the lancers would find themselves up 2 goals 10 minutes into the 3rd and final period. The Badgers would respond on the power play with a goal from Christina Ieradi (Maple, ON) and assists going to Annie Berg (Beamsville, ON) and Cara Sayles (Welland, ON).

The Badgers could not manage to tie it up resulting in a 2-1 defeat. Badgers goaltender Jensen Murphy (Kingston, ON) faced 27 shots in the loss.

The lady Badgers now look ahead to next weekend's road trip where they will face the Ryerson Rams and Waterloo Warriors on the road.
