Box Score THUNDER BAY, ON - The Brock University men's hockey team swept their northern trip against the Lakehead Thunderwolves finishing with a 4-2 victory Saturday night at the Fort Williams Gardens.

Lakehead opened the scoring just a minute into the opening period as Linden Springer beat Brock starter Clint Windsor (Burlington, ON) for his second goal of the season. The Thunderwolves held a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes.

The Badgers tied the game 1-1, 4:35 into the second period as Josh Timpano (Orillia, ON) and Matt MacLeod (Niagara Falls, ON) setup Sammy Banga (Windsor, ON) for his eighth goal of the season.

With 13 second remaining in the second period, Banga would give the Badgers a 2-1 lead beating Lakehead goaltender Justin McDonald for his second goal of the night and ninth of the campaign. Andrew Radjenovic (Hamilton, ON) added the assist.

Brock's would take a 3-1 lead 1:51 into the third period as MacLeod and Evan Morden (Swan River, MB) setup Timpano for his fourth goal of the season.

Late in the third, with the extra-attacker, Lakehead's Zach Whitlock would cut the Badgers lead to one with 41 seconds left in regulation.

Brock's Brody Silk (Iroquois Falls, ON) would add an empty netter with 10 seconds left in regulation for the 4-2 victory. 

In goal, Windsor registered 31 saves for the victory while McDonald finished with 30 saves in the loss.

The Badgers will have to key OUA West road games next week as they take on the Ryerson Rams (Jan. 12) and Western Mustangs (Jan. 14).
