The Brock University men's hockey team defeated the Windsor Lancers by the score of 4–0 Friday night at the Seymour-Hannah Centre. With the victory, the Badgers improve to 1-3-1 in the regular season.
After a scoreless opening 20 minutes, Brock got on the board first, 6:35 into the second period, as
Nicholas Santoro and
Jeff Corbett set up
Matt MacLeod for his second goal of the season. Just 25 seconds later,
Josh Timpano found
Ayden MacDonald who collected his second of the season for the 2-0 lead.
Four minutes into the third period, the Badgers took a 3-0 lead as MacLeod and
Patrick Volpe set up
Brandon O'Quinn who collected his second goal of the campaign. With the Windsor net empty, rookie
Connor Brown would secure the victory with an empty netter.
Mitch Nardi and
Brayden Stortz added the assists.
In goal, Brock starter
Clint Windsor recorded 33 saves for the shutout victory. Windsor goaltender Blake Richard registered 30 saves in the loss.
The Badgers will host the Western Mustangs Saturday night 7:15pm at the Seymour-Hannah Centre
