The Brock University women's basketball team dropped a 71-46 decision to the University of Toronto Varsity Blues Friday night at the Goldring Centre.

The Badgers were led by Stephanie Findlay who recorded 11 points and seven rebounds. Rookie Kristin Gallant contributed with nine points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Rounding out the Brock leaders were Ana Caldeira Rua and Lauren Zonneveld who chipped in with seven and six points respectively.

The Varsity Blues had four players in double figures led by Keyira Parkes who recorded 15 points, including a perfect 3-for-3 from long range. Rahshida Atkinson, Nada Radonjic and Christine Jurcau all chipped in with 12 points each.

For the game, Brock shot 24.6% (16-for-65) from the field, 13.3% (2-for-15) from beyond the arc and 63.2% (12-for-19) from the charity stripe. Toronto went 25-for-58 (43.1%) from the floor, 7-for-19 (36.8%) from long range and 14-for-25 (56.0%) from the free throw line.

The Badgers host the Nipissing Lakers and Laurentian Voyageurs next weekend November 17 & 18 at the Bob Davis Gymnasium.
