The Brock University women's basketball team dropped a 68-55 decision to the University of Ottawa GeeGees Friday night at the Bob Davis Gymnasium.

The Badgers were led by Stephanie Findlay who finished with 23 points and season-high 18 rebounds for the double-double. Rookie Kristin Gallant added 17 points while Ana Caldeira Rua chipped in with seven points and four assists in the loss.

Bridget Lefebvre led Ottawa at 21 points and 10 rebounds for the double double. Amelie Hachey and Jennifer Crowe chipped in with 12 points and 11 points respectively for the road win.

For the game, the Badgers shot 27.8% (15–54() from the field, 36.4% (4-11) from beyond the arc and 80.8% (21–26) from the charity stripe stripe. Ottawa shot 36.3% (29-80) from the floor, 11.8% (2-17) from long range and 47.1% (8-17) from the free throw line.

The Badgers next action is Saturday night at 6pm when they take on the No. 4 ranked Carleton Ravens at the Meridian Centre.
