ST. CATHARINES, ON - The Brock University women's basketball team defeated the Waterloo Warriors by the score of 60-48 Wednesday night at the Bob Davis Gymnasium.
Brock jumped out to an early 15-7 lead and held a 26-13 lead after 20 minutes.
Midway through the fourth quarter, Waterloo would cut the lead to four 45-41, before Brock answered with clutch three-pointers from

Melissa Tatti (Ancaster, ON).
Bridget Atkinson (Welland, ON) led all scorers with a game-high 24 points going 10-for-14 from the field. She also grabbed seven rebounds and added three blocks and two assists. Tatti contributed with 12 points, six assists, four steals and four rebounds.
Jessica Morris (Guelph, ON) and
Alex Symonds (Pelham, ON) chipped in with eight and seven points respectively while adding six rebounds each. Rookie
Shannon Northey (Mississauga, ON) pulled down a career-high 14 rebounds and added six points in the victory.
The Badgers shot 45.5% (25-55) from the field including 33.3% (5-15) from beyond the arc and 55.6% (5-9) from the free throw line. Brock's defense held the Warriors to just 24.6% (17-69) for the game including a dismal 14.3% (3-21) from the charity stripe.
The Badgers host the Laurier Golden Hawks Saturday, February 4th at 1pm at the Bob Davis Gymnasium.
