ST. CATHARINES, ON - The Brock University men's volleyball fell to the Queen's Gaels in five sets Saturday night at the Bob Davis Gymnasium. (25-17, 15-25, 12-25, 25-22, 11-15).
Prior to the match, Brock head coach
Doug Hanes recognized five graduating players including
Calvin Fast,
Matthew Ragogna, Adrian Yeun,
Damon Currie and
John Elgersma.
Elgersma led the Badgers attack registering 10 kills and 3.5 blocks. Fast and Currie collected seven kills each while Ragogna and
Timmy Spisar chipped in with six kills a piece in the victory.
Queen's Markus Trence led all scorers with a match high 20 kills and seven digs. Joel Rudd finished with a double-double adding 13 kills and 12 digs in the victory.
Brock registered 41 kills with 15 errors on 111 attempts for a .234 hitting percentage. The Gaels added 56 kills with 16 errors on 118 attempts for a .339 hitting efficiency.
