The Brock Men's Hockey team (12-13-1 OUA) fell to the Laurentian Voyageurs 6-3 on Saturday evening at Countryside Arena.

After a scoreless first period, Laurentian's Tyler Shaw scored the opening goal of the game on the Powerplay mid-way through the 2nd. This started a barrage of back and forth scoring, as Brock and Laurentian each scored 2 goals in a span of 3:20, leaving the score at 2-2 heading into the break. Brock goal scorers in the period were Mack Lemmon (2nd of the season) and Adam Lloyd (11th of the season)

Laurentian would continue the momentum early in the third, as Tyler Shaw scored his second of the game just 2:35 into the period, giving the Voyageurs a 3-2 lead that they would never relinquish. Laurentian would add 3 more goals in the period (one via empty net). Sammy Banga (11th of the season) scored the lone goal of the period at 18:01 for the Badgers.

Laurentian's Richard Therrien (1G, 2A), Nick Esposto (1G, 2A), Darcy Haines (1G, 3A), Tyler Shaw (2G, 1A), and Elliot Richardson (1G, 1A) all recorded multi-point games in the contest.

In goal, Alex Brooks-Potts took the loss as he recorded 37 saves on 42 shots. Laurentian's Joel Vienneau countered with 32 saves on 35 shots in the win.

The Badgers return to action on February 10th as they take on the University of Toronto Varsity Blues at the Seymour-Hannah Centre. Game time is 7:15 pm.
