Box Score ST. CATHARINES, ON - The Brock University women's hockey team blanked the York Lions 3-0 Saturday night at the Seymour-Hannah Centre. With the two victories this weekend the Badgers move into a tie for the final playoff spot. 

All proceeds from tonight's game goes to Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold.

Brock opened the scoring with five minutes left in the first period as Kailey Peirson added her second goal of the season. Maggie Spratt-Mallick and Melissa Hurrell added the assists.

Brock would take a 2-0 lead 4:35 into the second period as Christina Ieradi and Cara Sayles setup Annie Berg for her ninth goal of the season. With less than a minute left in the second it was Ieradi and Sayles setting up Berg again for her second of the night and 10th of the campaign.

In goal, Jensen Murphy turned aside all 35 shots she faced for her second shutout of the season. York goaltender Lauren Dubie recorded 20 saves in the loss.
