The Brock University women's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to the Western Mustangs (22-25, 25-18, 30-28, 25-19) Saturday night at the Bob Davis Gymnasium.
Leading the Badgers offense was
Renee Helmer and
Laura Condotta who recorded 10 kills each. Condotta also added 10 digs for the double double.
Darby Taylor contributed with nine kills while
Tori Carroll rounded out the Brock leaders adding eight kills. Setter
Emily Armstrong finished with 38 assists and 10 digs for the double double while libero
Julia Balatbat added 17 digs in the loss.
The Mustangs were led by Kelsey Veltman who finished with 13 kills and a .619 hitting percentage.
For the match, Brock collected 46 kills with 19 errors on 125 attempts for a .216 hitting percentage. The Mustangs added 43 kills with 14 errors on 122 attempts for a .238 hitting efficiency.
The Badgers return to action next weekend when they host the Windsor Lancers on January 19th at 6pm and are on the road versus the Guelph Gryphons on January 20th.
