The No. 2 ranked Brock University men's basketball team improve to 12-2 on the season as they defeated the Algoma Thunderbirds by the score of 78-62 Saturday night on the road.
Brock had three players in double figures led by
Dani Elgadi who added 22 points and 10 rebounds for the double-double.
Tyler Brown contributed with 10 points and six rebounds while
Johneil Simpson added 10 points including 3-for-7 from beyond the arc.
Daniel Cayer,
Cassidy Ryan and
Trevor Thompson chipped in with nine, eight and eight points respectively.
For the Thunderbirds, Jermaine Lyle and Pedro Costa both added 13 points each respectively.
For the game, Brock shot 39.4% (28-71) from beyond the field, 45.0% (9-20) from beyond the arc and 81.3% (13-16) from the free throw line. Algoma went 19–56 (33.9%) from the floor, 6-17 (35.3%) from long range and 18-31 (58.1%) from the charity stripe.
