The Brock University women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to the No. 7 ranked Ryerson Rams Friday night at the Bob Davis Gymnasium

Leading the Badgers was Renee Helmer who recorded 11 kills, and Laura Condotta who registered 10 kills and 10 digs for the double-double. Libero Julia Balatbat finished with 13 digs in the loss.

The Rams were led by the duo of Theanna Vernon and Lauren Veltman who combined for 23 of the Rams 41 kills. Setter Kate Mcllmoyle added 24 assists while Libero Janelle Albert recorded 13 digs in the victory.

For the game, the Badgers collected 38 kills with 21 errors on 99 attempts for a .172 hitting percentage. Ryerson finished with 41 kills on just six errors on 106 attempts for a .330 hitting efficiency. 

Brock returns to action Sunday afternoon at 2 PM when they host the Trent Excalibur inside the Bob Davis Gymnasium. This game is part of the Badgers for Breast Cancer weekend with all proceeds going to the Canadian Breast Cancer Society.
