Box Score The Brock Badgers men's hockey team improved to 4-0 with a victory over the RMC Paladins on the road Friday night.
Brock trailed by a goal before scoring three consecutive goals to skate away with a 3-1 win at Constantine Arena in Kingston.
"We battled through a tough game in a tough building," said head coach
Marty Williamson. "We stuck with it and got the two points."
Connor Brown tied the game by hovering around the slot and whipping the puck home on a feed from
Adam Berg, who dug it out of scrum alongside
Jared Marino.
Berg put them ahead 2-1 in the dying seconds of the middle frame. Brown picked up an assist.
The line of Brown, Berg and Marino have combined for seven points and have scored critical goals early this season.
"They're a hardworking group," said Williamson. "It's nice to see them get rewarded."
Brock leading scorer
Ryan Burton potted an empty netter. The Badgers outshot the Paladins 44-26 as goalie
Logan Thompson earned the win in between the pipes.
Up next, the Badgers (4-0) travel to Kingston Memorial Centre to play Queen's (3-1) on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m.
