Captain Brody Silk scored the game-winning goal in the shootout to lift the Brock men's hockey team to a 4-3 win over the Ottawa GeeGees at Seymour-Hannah Arena on Friday.
After building a 3-1 lead on goals by Cosimo Fontana, Tyler Rollo and Ethan Spaxman, the GeeGees worked their way back into the game late in the second period.
"We had a good second period, but our third was a little iffy," said head coach Marty Williamson. "We hung in there and found a way."
Goaltender Logan Thompson (5-0) made 32 saves.
Skylar Pacheco added two assists.
Ryan Burton and Ayden MacDonald each chipped in an assist.
The Badgers, who climbed the U SPORTS rankings to No. 7 in the country earlier this week, improved to 5-1. Brock welcomes the Carleton Ravens (3-1-2) on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 7:15 p.m.
