The Brock women's hockey team lost their first game of the season on Saturday.

Queen's goalie Makenzy Arsenault made 21 saves and the Badgers were shut out 3-0 in Kingston.

Brock netminder Jensen Murphy faced 38 shots.

For Queen's Katrina Manoukarakis scored twice and Nicole Posesorski added a goal.

"We competed very well tonight against a good hockey club," said head coach Margot Page. "Unfortunately, we missed the opportunities we had to get on the scoresheet. We don't like the loss, but I think when we wake up in the morning a split on the road will seem okay."
