Box Score 2 The Brock women's volleyball team lost 3-1 (25-19, 23-25, 25-23, 25-14) to the Toronto Varsity Blues on the road Saturday.
"We were better today than we were against Ryerson on Wednesday, but still too many errors to win a match," said head coach Steve Delaney.
Laura Condotta registered 15 kills, 18 digs and three service aces.
Sara Rohr added 24 assists and 10 digs, while Grace Pyatt made six blocks.
The team welcomed third-year outside hitter Darby Taylor back to the lineup. The Thorold native missed all of pre-season with an ankle injury.
"We have much to improve on, but we are headed in the right direction," added Delaney.
Up next, the Badgers (0-2) will play two more road games before their home opener on Nov. 9. Brock travels to Windsor on Saturday, Nov. 3 and Western on Sunday, Nov. 4.
Meanwhile, the men's volleyball team also lost 3-1 (25-22, 17-25, 25-22, 25-22) to Toronto on Saturday.
Logan House rattled off 17 kills and 13 digs.
Mark Naqvi scored eight kills. Peter Schnabel added seven kills and Marcelo Correa contributed 37 assists.
Up next, the Badgers (0-2) also hit the road to Windsor (Nov. 3) and Western (Nov. 4).
