The Brock men's volleyball team swept the Trent Excalibur 3-0 (25-14, 25-20 and 25-22) in Peterborough on Sunday.

The Badgers were paced by the outstanding play of their middle blockers: Peter Schnabel, who is also a member of the German National youth team, Mark Naqvi from the Ontario Provincial team and the setting of Mitch Taylor, who is a local product of St. Catharines and Eden High School.

Schnabel led all Badgers with 13 kills and only one error and two blocks.

Right-side hitter Clayton Blanchette returned to form with a season-best nine kills with only four errors and two digs.

"Blanchette's leadership on the court was a steadying influence on the young Badgers," said head coach Doug Hanes.

Up next, the Badgers (2-5) host Guelph (2-2) on Friday, Nov. 23 at 8 p.m.
