Box Score The Brock Badgers allowed an unlucky goal as the Western Mustangs skated away with 2-1 victory at Seymour-Hannah Arena on Saturday.
A point shot from Western defenceman Matt Watson hit a Brock player and changed direction on goalie Mario Cavaliere.
"Tonight was a hard-fought game with a misdirection goal," said head coach Marty Williamson. "We played hard, but we need to generate more offence."
Brock is 5-3 during the month of November and has lost two of those games by only a goal.
Western scored late in the first and Brock replied on a goal from Connor Brown, however a goal early the third period stood as the winner for the Mustangs.
Captain Crody Silk and Connor Walters each picked up an assist on Brown's tally.
Cavaliere made 32 saves in the loss. Western outshot Brock 34-30.
