The Brock Badgers worked their way back from a two-goal deficit to upend the Western Mustangs 3-2 in a shootout in London on Friday.
"This come-from-behind win showed the amazing character we have on this team," said head coach Margot Page. "Special teams were solid once again for us, but we just need to get out five-on-five game going again. Our goalie Jensen Murphy was fantastic tonight."
Cassidy Maplethorpe scored the game-tying goal and netted a goal in the shootout.
Annie Berg scored a goal and an assist and blueliner Makyla Porter netted her first OUA goal.
The Mustangs roared out of the gate with a 2-0 lead, and outshot the Badgers 12-5. Brock tallied two goals in the second and took the lead in the third with a power-play marker courtesy of Porter.
Paige Cohoon, Katreena Whiteye, Amanda Ieradi and Amelia Lackie each notched an assist.

Murphy kicked out 33 shots and stopped both Western skaters in the shootout.
