The Brock University women's basketball team dropped a 47-44 decision to the Waterloo Warriors on the road Saturday afternoon.
Leading the Badgers was
Miranda Smith who recorded 13 points and seven rebounds.
Brooke Murdoch collected 11 points and nine rebounds while
Kristin Gallant added nine points and six assists.
Courtney Mcpherson reached double digit rebounds for the 12th time finishing with 13 boards while chipping in with four points.
Waterloo was led by Ann Stewart who recorded a game-high 21 points and nine rebounds in the victory.
The Badgers shot 21.9% (14-64) from the field, 29.4% (5-17) from three-point range and 73.3% (11-15) from the charity stripe. Waterloo went 17-63 (27.0%) from the floor, 4-19 (21.1%) from beyond the arc and 9-20 (45.0%) from the free throw line.
The Badgers are at home next week when they host the Lakehead Thunderwolves Friday and Saturday night at the Bob Davis Gymnasium. Game times are scheduled for 6pm and 8pm.
