Box Score The Brock University men's hockey team dropped a 5-2 decision to the Windsor Lancers Friday night on the road.
The Badgers opened the scoring 4:13 into the third period as
Connor Brown and
Adam Lloyd setup
Cosimo Fontana for his sixth goal of the regular season. Midway through the period, Windsor tied the game 1-1 as Kody Gagnon beat Brock starter
Clint Windsor for his sixth goal of the campaign. With nine seconds left in the first, Brock regained the one goal lead as
Mitch Nardi found the back of the net, with
Ryan Purvis and
Skylar Pacheco adding the assists.
In the second period, the Lancers added back-to-back goals from Brennen Feasey and Ryan Shaw, both on the power play to take a 3-2 lead after 40 minutes.
Windsor would add two more goals in the third period as Blake Blondeel added a shorthanded marker and Ian Parker closed out the game with an empty netter as Windsor kept their playoff chances alive.
In goal,
Clint Windsor recorded 33 saves in the loss. Lancers starter Jonathan Reinhart collected 31 saves for the victory.
