Box Score The Brock men's hockey team clinched a playoff spot with a 3-1 victory over the Lakehead Thunderwolves at Seymour-Hannah Arena on Friday.
"It wasn't easy, but the guys kept battling," said head coach Marty Williamson.
Ryan Burton, Tyler Rollo and Frankie Pucci each found the back of the net.
Goalie Logan Thompson made 26 saves.
Defenceman Dexter Weber left the game with a shoulder injury and will miss Saturday's game.
"After that early injury to Weber our other five defencemen played outstanding," said Williamson
After a scoreless first period, Burton netted a breakaway goal late in the second period on a pass from Skylar Pacheco.
In the third, Rollo and Pucci scored just 14 seconds apart to give Brock a 3-0 lead.
Lakehead forward Josh Laframboise broke Thompson's bid for a shutout with a wrister at 7:17 of the third.
Brock fired 41 shots at Thunderwolves netminder Nic Renyard.
