The Brock men's hockey team hosts the Lakehead Thunderwolves for back-to-back games on Friday (7:15 p.m.) and Saturday (2:15 p.m.) at Seymour-Hannah Arena. The Badgers will celebrate the Bell Let's Talk campaign during their Saturday match. Brock is battling for first place in the division while Lakehead is frantically holding on to a playoff spot.

ABOUT THE BADGERS (15-5-2-2): Brock enters the weekend riding a seven-game point streak and tied with Ryerson for first place in the OUA West Division with 32 points. The Badgers have allowed the least amount of goals on home ice, 1.9 goals per game, in the OUA. Freshman netminder Logan Thompson is 6-2 at Seymour-Hannah with a 2.08 goals against average and .939 save percentage. Brock has the seventh-ranked penalty kill unit in the league, however on home ice they've only allowed one power-play goal for a staggering 96.7 kill percentage. "We just lost to Waterloo and Toronto, so we need to play desperate against Lakehead," said head coach Marty Williamson. "They have a good offensive team and power play. We need to be aware and not let up for 60 minutes."
ABOUT THE THUNDERWOLVES (10-11-1-1): With six games remaining in the regular season, Lakehead is stuck with seven other teams who are within points of each other. The Thunderwolves are currently tied with Waterloo for seventh place in the division and are 2-6 in their last 10 games. Playmaking forward Daniel Del Paggio leads the Thunderwolves in scoring with seven goals and 17 points. Freshman defenceman Caleb Boman quarterbacks their power play and is active in the rush. He sports six goals and 12 points. Senior goaltender Nic Renyard is 4-2 on the road with a 2.84 goals against average and .921 save percentage.
