Goaltender Logan Thompson made 33 saves and the Brock men's hockey team swept the Lakehead Thunderwolves by a score of 6-2 at Seymour-Hannah Arena on Saturday.

Thompson leads all OUA netminders with 16 wins.

The Thunderwolves attempted to get under the skin of the Brock forwards and played a physical game. The Thunderwolves were slapped with a total of 12 infractions and a total of 40 penalty minutes.

"We are one of the least penalized teams and I'm proud of how hard the guys play," said head coach Marty Williamson. "They always care about the team and the goal of winning rather than selfish penalties."

Lakehead led 2-1 on a pair of goals from Thunderwolves forward Dylan Butler during the first period, however the Badgers scored three consecutive goals in the second and added two more in the third.

Forward Ayden MacDonald finished with a goal and two assists.

Adam Berg and Frankie Pucci each notched a goal and an assist. Skylar Pacheco, Brody Silk and Ethan Price each netted a goal.

Dallas Rossiter, Cosimo Fontana, Jake Ringuette, Jared Marino, Connor Walters and Jeff Corbett each contributed an assist.

For Lakehead, goalie Devin Green faced 36 shots.

Up next, the Badgers (17-5-2-2) travel to Windsor on Saturday, Feb. 2. Puck drop is 7:30 p.m.
