Rookie forward Mikayla Flanagan scored her first OUA goal and then added another during a 3-2 shootout loss to the nationally-ranked No. 9 Western Mustangs in London on Saturday.
Western's Janneke Watt opened the scoring early in the first period before Flanagan netted back-to-back goals in the second to give the Badgers a one-goal lead.
Brooke Dicicco tied the game up for Western at 18:01 of the second.
The game descended into a shootout after a scoreless third and overtime period where Brock outshot Western 6-1.
Sarah Brooks scored for the Badgers in the shootout, however Emma Suitor and April Clark each scored for Western.
Badgers netminder Jensen Murphy made 32 saves while teammate Cassidy Maplethorpe registered two assists. Amelia Lackie and Morgan Dezell each contributed an assist.
Brock killed of six Western power plays.
