Senior guard Melissa Tatti poured in 19 points as the Brock women's basketball launched a second-half comeback to hand the McMaster Marauders their first loss of the season on Wednesday at Bob Davis Gymnasium.
The Badgers improved to 2-0.
Tatti added eight rebounds, five assists and four steals while teammate Kirstin Gallant scored 17 points and added seven rebounds.
McMaster led 40-31 at halftime.
"We adjusted ourselves defensively in the second half," said head coach Mike Rao. "We played hard throughout. We got more on track when we made a couple of threes and that's when we started rolling."
The Badgers' offence also started clicking and by the end of the fourth quarter they outscored the Marauders 25-10.
Brock edged McMaster in field goals 26-22, and outrebounded them 46-36.
McMaster's defence forced Brock to the perimeter and forced several turnovers in the early going.
"Them pushing us out to the perimeter had a lot to do with our turnovers," said Rao. "We needed to go inside, and in the second half we made that adjustment, and that was the difference."
Jessica Morris scored nine points, and Nicole Venhuizen and Sam Keltos each recorded seven points. Eden Ferraro contributed six points and seven boards.
For McMaster, Jenna Button scored 19 points and Christina Buttenham tallied 12 defensive rebounds.
Up next, the Badgers (2-0) travels to Toronto to play the Varsity Blues on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 6 p.m.
