The Brock men's hockey team is starting to heat up.
The Badgers edged the visiting Ontario Tech Ridgebacks by a score of 2-1 for their third consecutive victory at Seymour-Hannah Arena on Wednesday.
Ryan Burton scored a goal and registered an assist.
"We are constantly battling all over the ice and I think that's what's starting to separate us from other teams a little bit," said head coach Marty Williamson.
Jordan Ross put Ontario Tech on the board, but Ryan Burton struck back for the Badgers to end the first period tied 1-1.
Just 38 seconds in the second, Jared Marino battled in front of the net for a rebound to net the game-winning goal.
"Marino is a great teammate, who is also a smart player with size," added Williamson.
Goaltender Marioo Cavaliere made 29 saves for the win as Ontario Tech outshot Brock 30-24.
Frankie Pucci, Johnny Schaefer and Jordan Sambrook each notched an assist.
Up next, the Badgers (4-4) hosts the RMC Paladins (2-5) on Friday, Nov. 1 at 7:15 p.m.
