Darby Taylor rattled off 13 kills and the No. 7 Brock women's volleyball team shut out the Nipissing Lakers 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-21) in North Bay on Sunday.
The Badgers are now 6-0 and hold a four-point lead over the Western Mustangs for first place in the OUA West.
"Overall, it was a good weekend," said head coach Steve Delaney. "The game before we had to battle back against York, so it was good to get pushed a little bit because it'll make us stronger later in the season. We looked a little fatigued after a long travel to Nipissing. We got the win in three even though we didn't play our cleanest."
Laura Condotta added nine kills and 10 digs and currently leads the OUA with four kills per set.
Setter Emily Armstrong registered 31 assists.
"The beginning is over, and yes we're 6-0, but it's not how you start, it's how you finish," said Delaney. "We'll have a tough test with Toronto this weekend. They're a really good team and we'll have to be better than we were this weekend."
Up next, the Badgers (6-0) return home to host the No. 4 Toronto Varsity Blues (4-1) on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. Get your tickets here.
