A point separated the Brock men's basketball team and the No. 8 Lakehead Thunderwolves at Bob Davis Gymnasium on Friday.
Kascius Small-Martin hit a three-point jump shot with 15 seconds remaining to send the crowd into a frenzy, however the visiting Thunderwolves squeaked by 74-73 to hand the Badgers their third loss of the season.
Brock carried a 45-34 lead into halftime and led by as many as 15 points.
Small-Martin totaled 20 points and eight rebounds, including three assists and four steals.
Godsman Kwakwah recorded 18 points while Daniel Cayer notched 13 points and 11 rebounds. Tyler Brown added 10 assists.
For Lakehead, Alston Harris led the team in points with 16 off the bench.
