The Brock women's basketball team suffered their first loss of the season by a score of 72-65 to the Guelph Gryphons at Bob Davis Gymnasium on Friday.
"We had a lot of fight in us," said head coach Mike Rao. "We needed to make a few more shots, but we fell short."
Brock shot 31 per cent (19-for-60) when it came to field goals.
At halftime, the Badgers trailed 39-38.
Jessica Morris led the Badgers in both points (17) and rebounds (nine).
Melissa Tatti and Sam Keltos each scored 16 points. Tatti dished out eight assists and Keltos collected seven rebounds.
Destiny Paquin registered seven points and eight rebounds.
Guelph improved to 3-0 as Burke Bechard scored 15 points.
Up next, the Badgers (3-1) host the Algoma Thunderbirds (0-4) on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 6 p.m.
