The Brock men's basketball team capped off the regular season with a 73-72 road victory over the Lakehead Thunderwolves.

Cassidy Ryan scored 20 points and got nine rebounds in the Badgers surge over the Thunderwolves.

With just eight seconds left Johneil Simpson knocked down a three-pointer to put your Badgers ahead 73-72. 

Similar to their first game, Brock went inside against the Thunderwolves and saw much more success. Containing Lakehead to only select opportunities, Brock jumped out to a 21-6 lead after the first quarter.

Lakehead bounced back in the second quarter as they started to find their rhythm and more chances. Outscoring the Badgers 23-15 in the quarter, Lakehead trimmed the lead down and Brock was up 36-29 going into the third quarter.

Lakehead was running efficiently by the third quarter and matching everything Brock was giving them. Throughout the quarter and into the fourth Brock and Lakehead traded point for point and it was anyone's basketball game. Lakehead held a 65-59 lead going into the final quarter.

As the third quarter pointed out, the game was going to come down to who could capitalize on one more opportunity than the other team.

In the fourth, an impressive block by Michael Vos Otin on a layup attempt by the Thunderwolves kept Brock in the lead as the final buzzer went.

Now finished with the regular season, Brock men's basketball looks forward to the playoffs. The Badgers will be playing their first-round playoff game on Wednesday, Feb. 20.
