The Brock women's volleyball team will play their first playoff game in four seasons when the Badgers (13-6) travel to Toronto to battle the Varsity Blues (14-5) in the OUA quarter-finals on Saturday, March 2 at 1 p.m.
Watch the game live on OUA.tv.
Both teams are playing at the top of their game as Toronto ended the regular season on a six-game win streak and Brock is 8-2 in their last 10 games.
Badgers' fourth-year outside hitter Laura Condotta led the OUA for most of the season in kills per set (3.50) and total kills (245) before finishing fifth in both categories, and was top 10 in the country in kills per set.
First-year middle Jaimie Holland is fourth in the OUA in blocks per set (0.88) and third-year setter Emily Armstrong is fourth in assists per set (8.80).
"Toronto's a good team. They are second in the East for a good reason. They train like a pro team. They went away to Europe over the holiday break to play and I think they've become way better since then, in my opinion," said Brock women's head coach Steve Delaney. "They're a great team. They're going to be heavy in right-side attack. They have a strong middle and great ball control, so we have our work cut out for us. It's a welcomed challenge for me as a first-year coach, and for the girls who are heading into the playoffs for the first time. We're definitely not going to let all of U of T's accolades weigh in on how we perform on Saturday."
The Badgers are a completely different team since the last time they played Toronto, a 3-1 loss on Oct. 27., added Delaney.
Toronto is second in the province in digs per set (16.30) and are near the top in blocks per set (2.11).
The Blues also have a strong, fourth-year outside hitter, Alina Dormann, who ranks second in the OUA with 3.91 kills per set.
Toronto's second-year middle, Jenna Woock, posted 0.86 blocks per set.
