Senior striker Jared Agyemang scored his third goal of the season in just as many games as the Brock men's soccer team tied the Guelph Gryphons 1-1 on the road Friday.
Agyemang, who was recently named Brock University's Male Athlete of the Week, scored when his team manufactured a cross and the ball was deflected and he pulled off an overhead kick to fire the ball into the back of the net.
"Jared scored a stellar goal and the men played extremely disciplined tonight," said head coach Lucio Ianiero. "Very cohesive. I'm really happy with how they carried out our game plan."
Guelph's Alex Zis tied it up with a late penalty kick.
Badgers goalkeeper Alex May made eight saves as Guelph outshot Brock 11-3.
Up next, the Badgers (1-0-2) return to host the McMaster Marauders at Brock Alumni Field on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 3:15 p.m.
