The No. 9 Brock women's basketball team lost 67-58 to the first-place Western Mustangs at Bob Davis Gymnasium on Jan. 15.
The Badgers slipped to second in the OUA Central with a record of 10-3.
"We just didn't move the ball well," said head coach Mike Rao. "We were a little too selfish and played too individual tonight. We need to trust each other right now."
It was Brock's lowest scoring team total of the season as they shot 34.8 per cent (23-66).
The Mustangs led 38-34 at halftime.
Melissa Tatti led all Badgers with 20 points and Samantha Keltos posted a game-high 12 rebounds, including 11 points.
Jessica Morris chipped in seven points and Kyanna Thompson collected six boards. Tatti and Jenneke Pilling combined for nine assists.
For Western, Maddy Horst led the offence with 21 points.
Up next, the Badgers (10-3) look to rebound when they host the No. 6 Windsor Lancers on Saturday, Jan. 18 at Bob Davis Gymnasium during their annual Shoot for the Cure game. All proceeds from the game will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society. Tipoff is at 6 p.m. Get your tickets here.
