Keltos, Tatti lead No. 7 Badgers over No. 1 Gee-Gees

The No. 7 Brock Badgers upset the top team in the country on Friday.

Sam Keltos and Melissa Tatti combined for 49 points as the Badgers defeated the No. 1 Ottawa Gee-Gees by a score 69-63 on the road.

The Badgers improve to 17-4; Ottawa is now 18-3.

"Total team effort. We kept them off the offensive boards," said head coach Mike Rao. "I thought we moved the ball very well. The bench gave us a lot of good minutes. Everyone played extremely well."

Keltos led the way with 25 points and Tatti scored 24.

Brock led after the first quarter and carried a 36-32 lead into halftime.

The Gee-Gees led briefly in the fourth, however some big defensively plays by Jessica Morris and Sofia Croce allowed the Badgers offence to restore the lead.

Croce led the team with 11 rebounds.

Tatti added eight rebounds and seven assists while Morris contributed seven rebounds as Brock narrowly edged Ottawa in boards 48-45.

For Ottawa, Katherine Follis led the Gee-Gees with 18 points.

Up next, the Badgers (17-4) conclude the regular season with a visit to the No. 10 Carleton Ravens on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 6 p.m.
