Melissa Tatti posted a career-high 34 points and the No. 8 Brock women's basketball team (15-4) defeated the Laurier Golden Hawks by a score of 81-70 at Athletic Complex Gym in Waterloo on Feb. 7.
Tatti shot 13-of-19 from the floor and hit all four of her three-point shots to lead the Badgers in scoring, and overcome her previous career high of 30 points. She also added five rebounds, three assists and two steals. Sam Keltos registered 19 points.
Meanwhile, the Brock men's basketball team (11-8) held on to clip the Golden Hawks 76-73 as Noah LaPierre made a late-game free throw and Godsman Kwakwah snagged an important defensive rebound.
Daniel Cayer led the team with 17 points and he added nine boards and five assists. Tyler Brown poured in 16 points while Kwakwah and LaPierre each scored 12 and 10, respectively.
Up next, the Badgers visit the Waterloo Warriors for an early Saturday start at the Physical Activities Complex. The women tipoff at noon while the men begin play at 2 p.m. OUA.tv
