Brock men's hockey team wins exhibition game in Port Colborne

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Brock men's hockey team defeated the Windsor Lancers 4-1 in Ontario University Athletics (OUA) during a unique exhibition game held in Port Colborne on Saturday, Oct. 23.

The Badgers and Lancers played in front of minor hockey players and their families at Port Colborne's Vale Health & Wellness Centre.

Windsor opened the scoring late in the first period.

Brock replied with three unanswered goals from Matthew Campese, D'Artagnan Joly and Ayden MacDonald. MacDonald tallied his second of the game with an empty-net goal.

Christian Girhiny recorded two assist, and Adam Berg notched a helper.

Goaltender Mario Culina earned the win while allowing zero goals during their five power-play opportunities.

On Sunday, Oct. 24, the Badgers lost 4-2 to the Lancers at Seymour-Hannah Arena.

Tyler Rollo and Cole Thiessen each scored for Brock.

Goalie Aidan Hughes registered an assist on Rollo's marker.

The Badgers are 2-1 in pre-season play.

The Brock men's hockey team continues their exhibition schedule when they host the Western Mustangs on Thursday, Oct. 28 at 7:15 p.m.
