TORONTO - On the road to challenge the York Lions in preseason action, the Brock Badgers women's hockey team fell 1-0 in Toronto on Saturday afternoon.
Both Badgers goaltender
Keelee Hollowell and Lions goalie Dominique Chuaqui were exceptional in the exhibition outing, both maintaining shut outs through three full periods. Hollowell would finish the contest with 17 total saves, while Chuaqui registered 19.
However, in the first overtime period it was York's Brooke Anderson who potted the game-winner for the home side.
With just two preseason games left for the Badgers before the start of the OUA regular season, Brock will next face the TMU Bold at Canada Games Park on Friday, Oct. 7. Puck drop for the home exhibition game is scheduled for 7 p.m.
