ST CATHARINES - Concluding a three-game homestand, the No. 4 nationally ranked Brock Badgers men's basketball team easily defeated the winless Waterloo Warriors 87-53 on Friday night at Bob Davis Gym.

Willy Manigat showcased the depth of the defending OUA champions in the Friday night contest. The Badgers were successful in numerous categories, shooting over 40 percent from the field, while tallying 23 points off turnovers and 22 second chance points. Most impressive for the home side was the ball movement which saw the Badgers record 16 assists with eight different players notching a helper.
Dominating down low, second-year forward
Michael Matas recorded a game-high 15 points on 6-for-10 shooting, while adding five rebounds and two steals. Starters
Isaiah Bujdoso and
Godsman Kwakwah each tallied 12 points in the win, with
Jesse Barnes rounding out the double-digit scorers for Brock scoring 11.
The Warriors were topped by Reuben Hasebenebi who registered 10 points off the bench.
There will be no rest for the reigning champions as they hit the road to challenge the McMaster Marauders tomorrow evening in Hamilton. Tip off is scheduled for 8 p.m. with the game available to stream on OUA.TV.
