ST. CATHARINES - Continuing their hot start to the new season, the Brock Badgers men's soccer team extended their undefeated streak to four games with a 0-0 draw against the visiting Waterloo Warriors on Friday night.
In front of a solid home crowd at Alumni Field, the Badgers and Warriors exchanged opportunities throughout the entire 90 minutes without one or the other finding mesh. Waterloo held a 3-2 shots on goal advantage that did not truly reflect the amount of opportunities for each team as numerous attempts glanced just wide of posts and crosses sneaked past outstretched feet.
First-year forward
Noah DeDominicis provided a motor for the Badgers up front all night highlighted by a valiant effort in the 90th minute that would also result in an additional corner kick chance. Meanwhile, the back line led by third-year centre back
Nolan Bosetti and fourth-year right back
Victor Kariuki were instrumental in holding the Warriors attack in check.
Taylor Miskolczi earned the clean sheet for the Badgers in net, with Warriors keeper Jackson Vinci also achieving the same.
The two teams will have only a day to reset as the Badgers will next travel to Waterloo to face the Warriors on Sunday, Sept. 18. The afternoon contest will see kick off at 12 p.m.
