ST. CATHARINES - The Brock Badgers men's volleyball team split the first two sets before falling to McMaster's undefeated team on Friday evening at Bob Davis Gym. Set scores for the match were 25-15, 18-25, 25-12, 25-15.
 
Winning at least a set in their third consecutive match, the Badgers become just the fifth team this season to claim a set from the No. 2 nationally ranked Marauders.
 
On the court, second-year outsider hitter Kylar Code recorded a team-best and game-high 16 points for Brock with 14 kills, one ace, and two block assists, while registering a .250 hitting percentage.
 
Badgers second-year setter Nolan Shapcott paced the offence with 23 assists, while also topping the team defensively with 10 digs in the four set contest.
 
Four Marauders reached double-digit points in the win, led by a game-high 16 points from Mateusz Wlodarski who finished the night with 11 kills, two aces, one solo block, and four block assists.
 
The Badgers' next game is in a week, traveling on Friday, Jan. 20 to London to take on the Western Mustangs. First serve for the match is scheduled for 8 p.m. with the game streamed online via OUA.TV.
