Box Score The Brock Badgers men's basketball team dropped their second game in a row in Ottawa on Saturday, Nov. 18 as they were defeated by the No. 1 Ottawa Gee-Gees 73-63.

Brock was led by a strong performance from junior forward Jordan Tchuente. The Kanata, Ont native had plenty of family in the crowd from the Ottawa area, and he posted 16 points and 17 rebounds for his second double-double of the year in front of them. Kevaughn Ellis also had a strong game for Brock scoring 14 points and grabbing seven rebounds.

The game got out to a slow start with both teams clamping down defensively.

Tchuente and sophomore point guard Jordan Nelson were both able to hit some three-pointers in the frame, putting Brock ahead 13-9 at the end of the first.

In the second, Ottawa started heating up on the offensive end taking a multiple possession lead, but thanks to some great shooting from Ellis, Brock was able to come back and tie the game with the score of 28-28 at halftime.

The Badgers came out strong in the third quarter taking the lead with some great plays by Ellis and Georges Mfwamba Ngandu. Ottawa kept the pressure on though and was able to take the lead back 58-57 at the end of the quarter.

In the fourth quarter, the Badgers struggled to gain momentum and Ottawa was able to feed off the crowd and extend their lead.

A late game push from Jevon Brown and Tchuente was not enough as Ottawa took the win.

Next up, the Badgers (3-2) host the No. 3 ranked Queen's Gaels (5-1) on Friday, Nov. 24 in the Bob Davis Gymnasium at 8 p.m. Watch the action on OUA.tv.
