Yazdan Farokhizad of the Brock men's wrestling team captured a gold medal at the Simon Fraser University International Open in Burnaby, BC on Saturday, Nov. 4.
 
Farokhizad, who won a silver medal during his Badgers' debut on Oct. 30, snagged gold by tech fall 10-0 over Lucien Lefebvre of Landon Mudjar of Edmonton Wrestling Club in the men's 92-kilogram division.
 
Garette Saunders won bronze in the 61kg group and Callum Knox took bronze in the 97kg division.
 
As a team, the Brock men finished third.
 
Up next, the Badgers will compete in the Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Open on Sunday, Nov. 12.
