ST. CATHARINES - Find their form down the stretch, the No. 2 nationally ranked Brock Badgers women's volleyball team claimed their fourth consecutive victory following a straight sets win over the No. 10 Queen's Gaels on Friday night at the Bob Davis Gymnasium. Set scores for the match were 25-20, 25-21, 25-22.
With only three matches remaining in the regular season, the Badgers are looking to secure first place in the OUA improving their record to 15-2 ahead of the 15-3 Western Mustangs and 14-3 Waterloo Warriors. The top eight teams in the OUA qualify for the postseason, with a home court advantage on the line for the Badgers throughout the playoffs, including the Quigley Cup, should they secure first place.
On the court, Brock combined a versatile attack, which saw four players record 7.5 or more points in the quick three set victory, with an impressive defence that secured 38 total digs compared to just 26 for the Gaels.
Second-year left side
Madison Chimienti paced the Badgers offence with a game-high 14.5 points from 13 kills and three block assists. Both
Sadie Dick and
Emily Foest added nine points apiece, while
Grace Pyatt was strong at the net in her middle position contributing 7.5 points including one solo block and three block assists.

Sara Rohr added another 32 assists to her season totals, while libero
Aleiah Torres topped all players on the night defensively with 11 digs.
For the Lancers, Lauren Mellon registered a team-high 11 points scoring six kills, one service ace, two solo blocks, and four block assists.
The two nationally ranked teams will be right back at it tomorrow as the Badgers and Gaels will see first serve at 6 p.m. from the Bob Davis Gymnasium once again. Tickets for the home game can be purchased on
