Brock women’s hockey season ends in Game 3 battle

WATERLOO – The 2023 Ontario University Athletics (OUA) season concluded for the Brock women's hockey team on Saturday, Feb. 25.
 
Brock narrowly lost 2-1 to the No. 8 Waterloo Warriors in Game 3 of the best-of-three OUA quarter-final playoff series at CIF Arena.
 
The Badgers finished fourth in the OUA West Division with a 11-12-3-1 record and fifth consecutive playoff appearance.
 
Mishayla Christensen opened the scoring with a power-play goal just under five minutes into the first period. Catriona Cormier recorded an assist.
 
Waterloo replied with a power-play goal of their own as Carley Olivier scored at 15:21.
 
With less than a minute remaining in the third period, Elizabeth Lenardon scored the game-winning goal on the power play.
 
Goalie Kenzie Hamrison faced 30 shots in between the pipes for Brock. Waterloo netminder Carley Molnar made 17 saves for the win.
